VR in Entertainment

What is watching a movie really about? Why do people enjoy movies? It is all about the Experience. The feeling of escaping one’s own reality, to be transported into a new world. Joseph Campbell, a mythologist explains that the reason why people are attracted to stories is;“That what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive so that we can actually feel the rapture being alive.” http://www.butler-bowdon.com/joseph-campbell---power-of-myth.html

This is why people enjoy movies so much, movies enable people to escape current situations and experience ecstasy for a couple of hours.

Cinematography has evolved tremendously over the years. The first film was made up of 24 pictures and presented a moving picture of a horse.
The first films lasted only a few minutes. Over the years, two-dimensional movies became more developed, including elements such as sound and colour. The next huge change was the notion of three-dimensional films, which enhanced the illusion of depth. In the early years of 3D, red and blue glasses were used until 3D movies were improved with the concept of polarized light. This combination of polarized light and special glasses is what has made 3D movies what they are today. The world’s first virtual reality cinema was opened in Amsterdam.https://thevrcinema.com/experience

Now with the use of the VR, movies have moved to a whole new level. It is now makes it possible to merge the audience to the film, invoking a better experience of being in another reality. This technology has invited us into the world of movies and to interact with them. It’s now possible to watch movies without the huge white screen and red cinema chairs. Now we can really escape into another world of joy.
